Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basically, yoga pants for men I wear pants all year because I have absolutely no time for sunburns and slapping at blackflies when I'm out, so pants that don't turn into a greenhouse when it's 85 out are a key piece of kit for me. These caught my eye, and after a solid week of thrashing them in the mountains, I feel like I can give a reasonable review of them. Starting with the good, they are easily the most breathable and flexible pants I own without question. They do a respectable job of resisting water and wind as well, and are reasonably durable. Their geometry is well thought out, pockets are in smart places, and the integrated belt actually seems to work alright compared to competitive products. I REALLY like that it's removable too in case you need something with more holding power. I do have a two minor critiques of them though. For one, they seem to really like holding onto dirt. Spill pizza on your lap like I did? Get ready to scrub real hard. As for the pockets, another review pointed out, the thin fabric has a habit of showing everyone whats in your pockets in fantastic detail. It was completely right, to the point where I stopped carrying anything substantial in my pack. I attribute this partly to the fact that the pocket isn't free floating like many are, but fully sewn. Finally, they run shorter than my other MH pants. I'm a 33 leg and often wear a 32 from MH because of the cut. These in a 32 were just a bit high water, and 34 are a good length with boots, especially with the drawcord in the cuffs. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the Chockstones. There's a couple of little things that do annoy me a bit, but if you need to fill a hole in your gear closet with a very light weight softshell pant that is equally at home in a harness as it is with a backpack or even on a short trail run, I feel it's awfully hard to go wrong with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW I must admit, I was somewhat skeptical about purchasing these pants...... my skepticism was clearly ruled out the first time I tried them on. The Mens Chockstone Hiking Pants are as advertised. the pants are lightweight, durable & offer flexibility. I could not be more pleased. I even like the belt that comes with them as it clearly is adjustable assisting with proper fit. Thanks Mountain Hardware!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needed a hiking pant. I was looking for a functional pant for my routine hikes in the mountains with my three legged dog, Boone. I was tired of wearing jeans, MK's or my Tru-Specs. Did a lot of searching and ultimately came back to Mountain Hardware true and tested products. The pant fit true to size and was exceptionally comfortable. A little tight in the thighs and groin would be my only complaint. (I go commando and their was some obvious imprinting going on...) The length was perfect and the drawstring efficiently held the pant securely around my boot; which, kept out debris, mud etc. The pant moved well while hiking and were warm enough on a 35 degree day with a 15 mph wind, and cool enough when that temperature doubled. Pocket design is alright, but the close fit of the pant would cause anything stowed to bulge. I like them and will most likely get another pair.
