Rated 5 out of 5 by sooooo pleased! Fantastic pants. Supremely comfortable and perfect fit (I am of an athletic build). Quality is excellent. Color is true to picture. I want ten of these. Also purchased the Mesa II pants and have the exact same review of those as well. Solid solid solid pants. April 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by the perfect pair of pants for me I could not be more happy with these pants. I have worn them almost every day since i received them. They look nice, almost like dress pants. But they are lightweight and great for outdoor activities. Good for hot weather because they are thin. But they still feel strong like they won't rip easily. However, I've only had them for 2 weeks so don't know for sure. I'm 6 feet tall and skinny, 30 waist and 32 length, and the size fits me perfectly. March 31, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Zip off legs - great idea, but i have not used them yet I wear these pants all the time - always thought i would want to zip off the legs but never have. They are light enough that even in the heat, you don't overheat. February 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pants for the Mountains! I live in Western Colorado (Aspen/Snowmass) and these pants are perfect! I bought them for rugged hikes in the mountains and they perform well! I like the option to unzip the pant leg. With lots of cool mornings and warm sunny afternoons this function is ideal! October 8, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hikerdude A good pair of pants but do run small. If I were to order another pair, I would order the next size larger. The length is fine and the workmanship is good. September 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Gets the job done Great for short or long hikes. My only complaint is that the bottoms can't velcero or zipper open for a larger opening so I can remove the bottoms without having to take my boots or shoes off. This is more of a side note than an issue. The pants are cargo and sometimes the side pocket catches my foot when I'm putting the pants on. September 22, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Adequate, not ideal I wanted a zip-off pant without cargo pockets, which is harder to find than you might think. These fit the bill, and also have flat fronts without pleats; all of these things, as well as the color, sold me on these pants. The craftsmanship is solid, and true to fit. For walking about base camp or around town, these pants are fine. However, I found they lacked mobility when doing anything besides walking. Stepping in and out of a truck or climbing stairs was restricted by the pattern of the crotch- worn as either pants or shorts. I would suggest for next season's patterns that the crotch be gusseted or more generous, and the hem line of the shorts be brought up an inch, at least. February 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by rugged/practical/neat I really like these pants. This is my 3rd pair of MHw convertible/zip pants. I bought these mostly for golf and I couldn't be happier with them. They feel to me like they're rugged enough for hiking, but with actual belt loops, can also pass for khakis at work. They're a much cleaner look than my original MHw convertible zip pants. I suppose I'd prefer a zipper on the ankle cuff, but I can live without it. Pants like this used to cost over $100, so $65 seems like a pretty good deal to me. I was particularly happy that mountainhardwear.com offers multiple inseams. I couldn't find that option elsewhere for the same price. October 26, 2014
