Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dry.Q EVAP? I purchased this jacket for a minimalistic alpine shell. It had the right weight and after watching to short video on the EVAP tech I was sold. I got the jacket before a trip to Mount Katahdin. The fit was trim and perfect. The hood just BARELY fit over my Petzl Sirocco. Very tight and couldn't really move my head. I decided I would at least deal with it. After putting the jacket on for a ski decent when it turned to to sideways blowing snow, I was excited I had it. The decent was short and steep and then had to do quite a bit of traversing and side-hilling. It was -10 F outside so I was wearing a light a few insulating layers underneath the shell. Once I started traverse and pushing with my poles I started to work. I did not work up a sweat from the 5 minutes I was putting in some effort. At the bottom, skins were put back on and the shell came off. The inside of the shell was SOAKED with moisture. This Evap material/technology DID NOT work even close to as advertised, especially for how little effort I worked up. I can't even imagine climbing in the jacket and the amount of moisture that would build up. Maybe at a belay and I needed protection I would put it on but other than that, never for any sort of movement. My insulating layers underneath got wet and then froze. I am extremely disappointed with this product. February 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quality jacket This jacket is just what I wanted and expected. Waterproof, good looking, packs super small. If it had pit zips it would be perfect. December 23, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by No side pockets!? Over all for what it's worth this is a great rain jacket. If it's anything like my previous one it should last many seasons in the PNW. My one major issue with this jacket is the lack of side pockets. The chest pockets are nice and big with long zippers but they are in the wrong place. I am not sure why the price difference goes up just for the relocation of a pocket. November 16, 2014
