Reviews

HyperLamina™ Spark 35 (Long) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent summer bag The bag is very compressible and lightweight, I was looking to downsize from my 4season bag. The half zipper in the center allows the bag to function similar to a quilt which is perfect for summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Warmer than it looks. I took it on a Salmon river float and it was perfect. It packs into almost nothing, a quarter the size of my other bags. I always get the long option for a little more wiggle room and stuffing clothes or water bottles in for cold nights. Fits great but I'm will need to adjust to the center half zip, I'm just not used to it yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best on the Market? This is probably the best synthetic 3-season bag on the market. It's no down bag, and unfortunately, that's the first strike against it. However, the nature of down fill makes it a better choice for almost every application EXCEPT wet weather, and that's where this bag outshines all other alternatives. Since most longer trips I take include wet weather, I rely on this bag for nearly all of my extended trips. I've been using this bag in rainy New England, and intend to take it to Iceland in July 2016, where I anticipate a 70% chance of precipitation, daily. I wouldn't trust a down bag in these conditions, and would have to compromise by bringing a warmer bag; because this is synthetic, I don't have to compromise. I can push the temperature rating a little more aggressively to save even more weight. My only gripe is that the center zip tends to be a little more finicky for me than a classic side zip. The bag wants to migrate while I toss and turn so the zipper is over to one side or the other. I am happy to tolerate this because the bag is so warm, light, and compressible. My 3-year-old Ultralamina 15º bag is still lofty and warm after over a hundred nights, so I anticipate years of service from this bag too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great/Light Weight Bag Purchased this sleeping bag for early fall camping. Was immediately impressed by the size and weight. Have used on one trip thus far where the lowest temp was 42 degrees with no wind. Wearing nothing more than long sleeved base layer was perfectly comfortable. Can't believe how small it compresses. Would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best 3 Season Bag I Ever Used I've had a great year this season getting out and about, part of my experience was in replacing all my old gear to light weight and ultralight equipment. The MH Hyper Lamina Long was without a doubt one of my favorite purchases this season. For the highlight of my year I spent 10 days in the Wrangell St Elias NP on the 7 pass route in August where in I brought this bag; never once during the rain, sun or glacier fog did I regret my decision to purchase this bag before my trip. I love the compress ability of the bag, and although I found mine to be slightly heavier than advertised I am happy with the 2lb weight (with stuff sac) for the value I receive. The materials are spot on, and even with the wet rainy conditions I faced at the start and end of my trip, I never was in fear of getting this bag a little bit wet as I would with a down bag. This bag takes up half the space of my old 3 season synthetic bag and weighs a 1/2 lb lighter and allows for more room in my lightweight pack set up. Again, I thought this bag lives up to all the hype and is a solid investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Light, and so small This bag is definitely one of the best purchases I have made. Just got back from three days in the woods, and I am very happy with the design and comfort of the bag. Both nights, temp was in the mid to low forties. Stayed comfy the entire time. And for backpacking, its definitely one of the lightest Ive owned.
