Ghost™ UL 1 Tent is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little tent I used this tent hiking from Mt Hood to Crater Lake in late September and had all kinds of weather. From rain the first 3 days to clear cold sky's at night. At less then 2 lbs it was great to carry and my pad fit the inside of it just right. The only problem I had was that I wasn't able to set up in it, being about 6' tall, when I had time to read, it was laying down on my side, that got old after awhile. The other issue, was getting in and out in the middle of the night and bringing debri back in sometimes as I crawled in and out. It was expected, just got old after 2 weeks. As I got it for hiking the PCT this year, I decided to get a 2 man that I could sit up in and use to hide out from mosquito's when I had to and has doors on each side and a heighth I can sit up in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great craftsmanship.. too small for the average Joe I was excited to receive my UL1, when it arrived I immediately set about pitching it to check it out.. this tent is amazingly lightweight and really is free standing. Unfortunately I am 5'11" and when I squeezed myself inside I found that my feet pushed up against the end and my head pushed up against the entrance :-( I upgraded to the UL2 which is a fantastic size for two people easily and only a small amount bigger/heavier than the UL1. Unless you are a hobbit, I would definitely recommend the UL2 over the UL1. Bigly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tent For Ultralight Backpacking I wanted an ultralight tent for use on the John Muir Trail in summer 2016. In the past I have used a bivy sack that weighs 2 lb 2 oz, but when I discovered that the Ghost UL 1 also weighs 2 lb 1 oz, I decided to buy it and used it for 24 nights on the JMT. PROs: (1) Tent was perfect length for me and just adequate width at the entrance. I am 5'11" 155-160 pounds with somewhat broad shoulders due to swimming. Tent is probably too small for anyone over 6' or over 180 pounds. I slept with a book and some extra clothes in the tent, but no boots or pack. (2) I like the separate fly (many ultralight tents have no fly). I slept without the fly about 1/3 the nights -- much cooler and you can see the sky. But only had one rainy night (amazing) -- had to jump out of the tent at 3 AM to quickly put up the fly. So practice putting up fly was valuable; tent kept out the rain, but it was not much of a test. (3) Tent is very easy to pack; stuff sack is compact but not too tight. (4) Tent footprint is small so can fit in more campsites than others with larger tents. CONs (minor): (1) I bought a fabric footprint for UL 1, but it seemed to be a little loose and tended to get dirty. It did not rip so I guess it was ok. (2) Directions are a bit sparse. Be sure to set the tent up before you use it. The guy-lines have a tricky fastener; the fly is attached by putting a peg through a hole in the connectors at the base of the tent. I think the mysterious 3" tube is for "fixing" a tent pole if one bends. (3) There was some light condensation at the toe of my sleeping bag most mornings (where my bag would touch the tent wall -- not the mesh), but the water/frost would evaporate quickly in the morning. (4) I could not find any store that had the Ghost UL 1 in stock, so I chose to buy the tent and have it shipped to me sight unseen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Solid Tent A perfect 10 tent to me is one with superior weight/size ratio, free standing double walled, and with one pole that folds up perfectly! This tent comes close at 7.5'ish. Where it can be setup without tent stakes this is not ideal. Tent fly can be made into a convertible when using the side stakes which keeps this tent a notch above the rest. The single pole folds up neatly but not perfect. Material is strong enough, though after 2 weeks on the PCT I did manage to put a pea sized sliver in the side. Held up excellent in strong winds and rain and feels very secure. Job well done!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like carrying no tent at all! This takes up so little space and weighs so little that it's like it isn't even there. Without the fly, incredibly easy to put up solo. With the fly, a bit of a pain...but why bother with that anyway and miss out on the amazing sky view offered without it? Effectively kept out the blood thirsty mosquitos and was adequately roomy for its primary purpose--sleeping. I am 115lb, 5'4" tall, had a little extra space all around, esp at the feet
