Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Snug Fit Great quality with all the necessary features to get you through those long, demanding runs. BUT the fit is rather snug! I ordered the largest size available - M/L. I'm no Clydesdale. And I have to say it is more towards a men's medium. I'm reserving judgment on keeping this vest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, under-rated vestpack I live near the Rockies, so I need to be able to carry bear-spray, spare jacket, etc. This pack holds all that (spray, water-bottle, gels, 2L bladder, windjacket, light toque, gloves, and spare shirt all fit! Although I strung up some bungee cord through the loops on the outside of the back to hold the jacket....not sure why they have loops but no cord included). So light, no chafing (have worn with no shirt, although haven't tried longer than 1.5 hours like that). ONLY issue I've had is that the pack is not very tall, so I can't get a 2L (or even 1.8L Platypus) to "hang". I do end up having to jostle the bottom a bit as the bladder will fold on itself as I drink it down. Happens regardless if pack full or empty. Can't find a bladder short enough that it will hang and thus not fold/sag. If this was maybe an inch taller back there, problem solved. That being said, I still really like it for all its other virtues. Compare the weights on other Nathan/Salomon/UD/UltraSpire vests (and the price points!) and you'll see what I mean. I'm 6'0", 165lbs soaking wet and the M/L fits great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Extremely Fluid! I have had the Fluid Vest now about three weeks, and have used it eight to ten times or more. So far I am getting along with it very well. It's been great running on trails and the road. It's still winter hear in Zion and won't be able to hit the long trails for another month to really put it to the test. It is extremely light, soft and comfortable. Very little bounce or shifting when using a bladder in the rear compartment or small water bottles in the front. I am 5'9" and a solid 190, the M/L fits very well. Can't wait to use it in the ten to twenty mile trails when the snow is gone. Thanks MH!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Fluid Race VestPack! I normally don't do product reviews, however, I did a lot of research on this product as well as similar products and have found them to be helpful, so I thought I would do my part. First, as an avid runner in my younger days, to my newfound love of obstacle course racing, I have NEVER worn any type of pack or whatever, so I was skeptical about what it would be like. Yesterday I tried the VestPack for the first time on a 5 mile run in the woods. I had a 2-liter water bladder and a jacket in the two pockets in the back. I also had my cell phone and car keys tucked away. The pack fit very snug and was comfortable during my run. The movement of the vest was fairly minimal considering the rough trails and the water I had in the back. I spent some time studying the design of the vest and I can tell that a lot of thought went into it: - the two chest straps can be moved up or down depending on what is comfortable for you. This feature is more relevant to females than me! I attached a photo of that feature so you can see what I am talking about. - Two pockets in the back- one for your water bladder and one for whatever else you need. I easily fit a 1/4 zip pullover and a couple other items in the other back pocket. - The water bladder pocket has a Velcro strap to help keep the bladder in place. - The fabric that is on the inside is comfortable and appears to dry easily. I didn't use the two large pockets in the front this time around, but I can see it being great for energy bars or some small collapsible water bottles. For reference I am 5'10 and 170#. I will continue to use the VestPack on my longer runs and longer distance obstacle course races.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING FOR HIKES! I bought this for day hiking with no intention of putting a hydration system in it! The bag size is perfect for my water bottles and small snacks( 24oz hydro flask, individual size beef jerky package, 2 apples and two individual size packs of almonds)! It's sits perfectly in the center of your back so don't even notice it at all! The straps and comfortable and breathable for hot days. I was skeptical of the sinching pockets up front, I wanted zippers, for carrying my phone but they are very strong and secure closures and with all of the zippers on the back! The front sinching pockets are big enough to carry my iPhone 6 with a lifeproof case on it, but I think a 6 plus would be a tight squeeze. I'm so happy with this and can't wait to get out on the mountian with it again this weekend! No complaints here! For those intending to use the hydration system it looks like the bladder slips in behind the large zippered area shown so you wouldn't lose storage space. I am 5'7 and I typically wear medium tops and after reading another review that recommended the M/L for my size, that's what I ordered and it's perfect! Love the blue coloring though my initial instinct was to order the black one I'm glad I went with blue as it's very pretty

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I love my Fluid Race Vest Pack! It fits perfectly and has has pockets for keys, nutrition, water bottles, and my phone. As much as I love this product, I would love it even more if the front water bottle pockets were a bit bigger. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Running Pack I bought this pack for a recent 12 hour adventure race in So Cal and it proved to be an amazing buy for this event. I would highly recommend using soft flasks in the front pockets (UltrAsprire collapsible bottles are perfect) and although I have squeezed a 3L camelbak in the back pocket, 2L is better. The pack is sufficiently large for a minimalist day in the hills and is just so comfortable. I have used it for races from the 12 hour Adventure Race (running, mtn biking, sea kayaking) to a 50Km Trail race plus numerous training runs over the past 6 months. The pockets are so well designed and numerous, but most importantly it is an awesome fit. Also it is considerably cheaper than your Nathan or Salomon equivalents. I cannot recommend this pack enough, thank you Mountain Hardwear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small - medium is way too Small All my tech shirts are small, sometimes I may use medium, so I order the small - medium size. When I got it and tried it on it felt very snug but I decided to give it a try in a 18 mile trail run, after a couple of hours the upper part of the vest was rubbing on the back of my neck. I found the other model without the pack on sale on another website and order the medium-large, now that one is a great fit. It is a shame I can't return this one now. I am 5.7, 150lb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to pack for all day hikes The BEST! Holds up to 6 liters of liquids plus front vest pockets for smartphone, gel packs, electrolyte tabs. The only pack I've used for the past 2 years of long day hikes and climbs. I'm running less than half the weight of fellow hikers with conventional day packs. Great for kayaking also

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my new best friend I had Mnt.H.W.'s old runners pack, which was great, but my dog tore through it to get to some granola that I had left in it...I had it safety pinned and it was too big for me since I havebeen running so much! This pack I bought in a sm-med. I am a solid 36 D, and it fits like the BeesKneez!! I ran once in it and then ran my first 50 mile ultra....it was increadible. I was worried since using new gear in a race is a BIG NO NO...but I Ihad no choice. I have noticed a bit of fraying in the mesh of the back panel though... I will address it with Mnt. HW once my semester is over as I know they are great about repairs and replacements....all in all, I wont run without it. RunLikeAnAntelope!!!! Fitzcoyote.
