Rated 2 out of 5 by from Severe disapointment I am beginner long distance runner and looking for my first hydration pack for trail running 5+ miles. My height is 5'7", weight is 155 lbs, I am average Medium size wearer. I can't say my girls are big but not small either. This vest looks very inopropriate, even with adjustment buckles on the very ends. The bottom one goes right under my breasts. The edges of the vest are super scratchy, they irritate me even without moving. The fabric looks somewhat pilled already with all the tabs still attached. I can't even imaging sticking any flasks into the front pockets. I would not recommend this vest to a woman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Comfy! I love how this vest hugs the torso and pretty much makes me forget that I'm wearing it. I used the zipper pocket for electrolyte capsules and store fuel in the large front pockets. My car keys went in the small back zippered pocket and a 1 liter collapsible bottle went into the large pocket. I also could have used a hydration bladder with a hose in that pocket. 5'2", 117 lbs and the small fits great with a some room left to adjust the straps tighter. Glad to see that the current version has a velcro strap to hold a hydration bladder up. I would recommend this for runners who can get by with 1 1/2 - 2 liters of water during a run (or who can replenish their handhelds with this amount). Plenty of room for fuel but no extra storage for jackets, gloves, etc. Get the other vest for that type of storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it's not even there I absolutely love this race vest. The placement on the back makes it feel like it's not even there. Though sometimes it feels like it wants to slip back but after playing with the strap attachment points, you can minimize it. I'm glad they added the bladder attachment strap at the top of the large pocket to keep it from falling down, made a big difference. I get a lot of positive comments on this and impressed many. Holds a 50oz bladder just fine (fully zipped in). I only have a few suggestions on this: Have the front two corded pockets be as deep as the pockets on the Race Vest Pak. These are barely deep enough for my phone and if it's not cinched down, bounces out where as it doesn't on the other. The securing clip for the drink tube could be reversible. On the Race Vest Pak, the tube clips in from the outside, on this it's the other way around, from the inside. After getting use to the other way, having to switch gets annoying when running. Maybe offer an optional drawstring attachment for the eyelets that are already there. Seems odd that the original version had the cord, it's not there now but the eyelets still are.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kind of on the fence I have the original fluid race vest as well as the fluid race pack and would say that the original race vest has a snugger fit than the new version.. I have almost a year of running in the original and only about 2 weeks in the new version which is why I titled this as "on the fence".. ---------- Likes: -The new pockets on the front.. Much more functional and with them being the same size you can load balance. -The smaller straps -The zippers don't have floppy cords on them -The small zipper pocket on the back (great for keys/ id) -The way the tubing can be routed out the bottom of the new version.. When using a quick connect bladder you can disconnect the bladder and shove a new one in and keep moving (if you are racing with a crew) ------------- Dislikes: -There is no way to connect the top of a bladder so it tends to sink as you go causing quite a bit of movement which the old version didn't have, -For some reason the back around the neck behind the head rides up as you go (especially if you have no bladder or the bladder is getting empty) causing chaffing. I have laid the two versions on top each other and they appear to be identical in size so note sure why this is happening.. ------- Overall: - the new features are really well thought out and add greatly to the function of the vest.. My reason for being on the fence and for not giving it the highest marks in all categories is the old version fit snugger to the point you forgot it was on but the new version moves around and for a race vest, to me, no movement is key..
