Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by The Good and the Bad I bought this pack as a small dayhike pack and the size seemed just about right for me, so I went for it. Having just returned an REI pack for function deficiencies I just couldn't overlook, there were a couple specific things I was looking for that this pack has. The trekking pole stowage has a bungee lashing point that holds my trekking poles securely to the pack, where my last pack just loosely held them in place. When chunking through technical sections of trail, or the ill-timed stumble, one does not want to be chasing parts and pieces down the mountainside. The shoulder straps are immediately comfortable. The straps are shaped to provide instant comfort, and like a good pair of boots, as soon as I put it on, it felt right. Adequate lashing points and exterior straps, handy little pockets on the shoulder straps for a small flashlight or microtool. The hydration reservoir compartment was easily accessible, but I would have preferred a hose securing clip at the end of the hose to keep by bite valve from flying all over the place. I'm kind of OCD when packing my bag, and this may make no difference to some people, but it kind of makes me crazy: There are no interior pockets in the large compartment! There are two small zippered, lined pockets on the top of the pack, and two quart bottle sized pockets on each side. In addition, there is an exterior vented flap compartment to stow wet raingear, which is cool. However, I had the thought of my flashlight bouncing around with my lunch, first aid kit, flashlight, compass and whatever else I may have thrown in the pack. I just prefer to have some interior pockets. Overall, I like the pack - not love it, but I would definitely buy it again, and I can live with the deficiencies. June 29, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by only one zipper pocket This is a beautiful, light-weight, good-sized backpack, but other than the main compartment there is only one zipper pocket. I wanted to keep it because I loved the feel and size as a daypack for commuting on bike, everyday stuff, and a long day hike. But I just need a few pockets for things. August 15, 2015
