Men's Exponent™ Pant is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Exponent Pant The Exponent Pant was a "true-fit" for me. My long legs sometimes makes it difficult to get a rain pant to fit well. This one is spot-on. The VaporDry fabric worked like a dream. It efficiently wicked away moisture and repelled rain. To allow me to hike in a down-pour for hours without ever feeling damp. The Elastic Waist & Draw Cord give just the right amount of tension to allow for easy on and off and all day comfort. The 12" Ankle Zip's make getting pant leg's over boots a breeze. It truly is light weight & packable. The Articulated Knee's are a bonus here. The didn't bind when lifting my leg's to climb up and over obstacles. This is another keeper piece of essential rain gear from Mountain Hard Wear.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for rain, but could use some tweeking So the first two times that I used these pants was just for running a pressure washer for a few hours...probably not the first thing that pops into mind when shopping for rain pants for hiking and general outdoor use, but they worked great. The second real outing for these pants was a drizzly/ overcast/ kind of rainy hike. I put them on in the parking area over another pair of pants and as advertised they kept me dry and comfortable for the entire day. This was a huge upgrade from a prior experience in similar conditions using only water repellant softshell pants in which a light on again, off again rain left me pretty soaked after a few hours. The third major outing for the pants was glissading down Mt. Saint Helens (the weather on the way up was beautiful). But here is where things get critical; I wish the side zippers were at least 3/4 length instead of 1/4, I was hoping that the opening fly would give me a little more room to slide these on over mountaineering boots, it was a little bit of a fight but they were pulled over the boots...no way your getting these on while wearing crampons. This brings up my next point, I wish the bottoms of the legs had some way to secure them tighter, just some basic Velcro to allow the legs to be cinched shut, sure gaiters filled this gap for me in this instance but it is a nice feature, which makes the pants more user friendly. Finally in glissading down about 4000ft of awesome I ended up with a 1 inch tear in pants, sure the rip-stop saved it from growing and I can easily patch it, but it also makes me wish that they were slightly tougher. When all is said and done, I got a great deal on the pants and they do an excellent job of keeping me dry and comfortable. I knew that I was making a sacrifice by giving up the zipper length that I wanted, for the deal that my wallet wanted when I made the purchase. I would still recommend them if your looking for rain pants. They're good, just not quite perfect yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True waterproof! I wore these pants while hiking in the Adirondacks in rain; this product is extremely lightweight and truly waterproof. I like the tying lace at the waist, instead of a belt, that gives you more control how tight you want to wear it. Also, I love the boot-cut bottoms that cover almost all of your hiking/mountaineering boot (except the toe); with this kind of fit, there is no chance that water can get into your shoes. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay for sitting around I'm surprised at the stunning positive reviews. I ordered the short inseam medium, to replace an aging store brand similar version of the same pants, and it was not only too long but the girth was ridiculously large. You could fit two of me inside. Also, the waistband adjustment seems misplaced and tightening it feels odd. Would've kept for emergency use but they're not even good enough for that because of the fit, just way way too big. The fabric itself looks durable and the patterning inside would probably do a good job of letting heat escape. They need to articulate the fit and shorten them up quite a bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent worth the long way Looking for a pant with the product features of Exponent Pant I was not at all successful in the internet here in Austria/Europe where there should be more excellent stuff available. Especially with the affinity of Austria to Skiing and mountain sports. Finding the desired product on the US-homepage I decide to get them to Austria after all. It was well worth having them shipped to Europe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light weight pant Product fit slightly in the thighs, however my inseam is 33 and legs are athletic build. Overall I had good range of motion and was able to hike and move without resistance.
