Dome Perignon™ is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm While I have other hats, I kept having a problem with them slowly moving up and uncovering my ears. This hat stays put, and is extremely warm. Best hat of this type I've ever had.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Underperformed in the wind I received this hat as a gift. I used it first chance I could downhill skiing in 13 degree weather. I was disappointed with its wind proof quality. I will not use this hat again in such conditions. I think the hat will be more useful for cross country skiing or pond hockey where it's breathability will be more applicable. The hat is advertised for its wind proof nature. I did not find that to be the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just about perfect Warmest ski hat I have. Best cover for the ears. Not the most stylish :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I was looking for a replacement for my beloved but elderly OR windstopper and this is even better, largely because it is roomier on top and adds material on the bottom like an ear band.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best I first found this on a clearance rack when I was searching for snivel gear while working for the DoD. The clincher was that it blocked the wind, and was longer than an old watch cap. This hat was so good that down to the low 20's with a base layer shirt, I didn't need my duty coat, and could withstand being outside for a few hours at a time like that. Last year I passed it off to a homeless man, who had very little in the way of warm clothes and winter approaching. I made due with my old Army issued watch cap (since I was between jobs), and this year after finding steady employment, I bought a replacement remembering how awesome it was. Please don't ever stop making these hats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bulletproof Wind and Cold Protection I bought this item recently for cold weather (i.e., year-round) climbing and hiking 12ers, 13ers, and especially 14ers in the Colorado Rockies. I had beeen wearing a watchcap when necessary, but a couple of high ridges and summits, with high winds and air temperatures nearing zero degrees (F) convinced me that I needed more head/ear protection. I purchased a Dome Perignon the day before summiting Mt. Bross, where I encountered gale force winds and wind chills well below freezing -- and my head and ears remained comfortably warm. In addition, the breathability of this supracranial wonder kept my head from getting too hot while I descended to sunny weather in the 70s; ordinarily my headwear would have been stowed in favor of a ballcap as I shed layers, but I didn't have to bother. The breathability was in perfect balance with insulation. Four days later I was hiking the Continental Divide; winds were easily in excess of 50 knots; the wind chill was below zero -- and once again over eight hours in those conditions were easily tolerable. Great design, quality execution.
