Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice backpack I travel all over the United States for work and I carry a lot of things with me on my travels. So far the construction of the pack seems rugged and provides me with the space I need to haul everything around in and fits under the seat in front of me on the airplane. I did put down that the fit is slightly small, as others have stated in their reviews, there is no way you're going to fit a 15 inch Dell or hp, or any brand other than an Apple, laptop in the sleeve. Still room to put your laptop in the bag but not in the "designated" padded laptop sleeve. For this I do take one star. The rest of the compartments are very spacious and there is some organization pockets as well. The interior is a bright orange which definitely helps to see things inside the different compartments. Overall I'm pleased with this backpack, and with the quickness in which Mountain Hardwear got it to me. Three days sooner than the original delivery date. June 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by most versatile for lots of uses This is a great multi-use backpack: school, travel, office, camping, etc. A great balance of size, storage pockets, lightweight but tough materials, good looks, and comfort. Zippers require a little bit of tugging and often both hands, but all the compartments open wide. The bright orange interior really helps you to see what's inside. Side pockets are larger than you think and both are zippered. However, if you want to carry your water bottle in a side pocket, keep in mind that heavier bottles tend to fall out because the zipper will easily open. Would prefer one of these side pockets to just be a mesh open pocket. I like Mountain Hardwear backpacks especially because of the back material (the surface that lays on your back). In most backpacks I see today, this material is a rough mesh, which tends to roughen up your shirt over time. In the Cronus the material is softer and won't scuff up your shirt (same goes for the inner surface of the main straps). As others mention, the integrated computer pocket is rather small. No problems to hold a Macbook Pro, but it would be tough to hold a Thinkpad. Overall I love this backpack and will use it in all sorts of scenarios. April 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lots of pockets I wanted an airplane carry on that was easy to organize and this was definitely it. Side pockets hold small stuff. Laptop fits in the airport compartment. Headphones in the top. Books and magazines in the front and then clothes (for one-two night trips) in the main compartment. Since all the compartments zip all the way around, you can access stuff on the bottom or top of the compartment just as easily. October 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cronus Backpack I purchased this backpack in order to combine my daily work needs as well as to have enough room & divided compartments for running & workout gear (keep the moisture out). The backpack is very well thought-out, high quality, and comfortable. I've used it now for a few months from everything from the office to using is as a race bag for ultramarathons. I've used it as a carry-on for travel and most recently on a trip to the mountains with the family as my main day pack. Simply put, there is more than enough room to be able to house all your gear, laptop, food, accessories, etc. The top pouch is lined with a softer fabric to keep your cell phone & other items protected. There are internal zippered pockets with mesh to keep your keys and there are slots for pens, notepads, electronics. Sometimes it's too large for my daily needs, but it looks professional enough in the office. One suggestion is to have a waist belt, there is a sternum strap. The laptop sleeve is too small for my standard 15" laptop, so I just put it in the padded zippered back and put my work notebook in the tablet sized sleeve. The 2 zippered pockets on the side are larger than they look and work great for holding water bottles and a few other items jammed in there. All in all, it's very durable, comfortable for hiking, and great all around use. Nice job, MHW. August 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Only for *really* small laptops I actually like the overall design, but sadly my 15" Dell is too big for the laptop slot. It's not a huge computer by any means. Would work great with something like the new MacBooks, which are super skinny. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, because the bag itself is wonderful, it just didn't seem to make sense not to fit an 'average' sized laptop. October 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Cronus I use the bag as a workout bag and will also use as a carry-on when traveling. It is perfect. Very user friendly and holds alot of stuff without being too bulky. Love the bag. October 28, 2013
