Drifter™ 4 DP 5 5 4 4
Great family or group backpacking tent. This tent seems well built, roomy, very easy to set up and has a few nice features. Just used it to take some high school students up in the Sierras. It was a cold night (low 30's) and the students were cold... so know that this is certainly not a cold or cool weather tent. But good bang for the buck. May 26, 2013
Intuitive quick set up Great tent, set up in a flash first use. The tent held up well in moderate wind and a steady rain. The footprint did not trap water underneath and overall I give this tent a solid rating. The tent stakes were not the quality I expected and I will be looking for more heavy duty stakes for the tent and fly. Aside from this minor complaint, a good purchase. I like that it comes with footprint and gear loft included without being sold separately. Mountain hardware could improve this tent with a higher quality stake! May 17, 2013
Great tent. Great tent. Lots of room. Super EZ to put up and take down. Nice that the footprint comes with it. Be careful with the stakes, I used my foot to push one in and it bent slightly. My fault. Not a winter tent though. Camped in 25 degree weather and the nice ventilation kept the tent quite cold. Again, user error! Looking forward to using it in the summer! March 26, 2013
First Camping Trip Tent is amazing. Took my son for his first camping trip, and the tent was perfect.Unfortunately we didnt arrive at our campsite until after dark in a pouring rain. My 8 year old had practice putting the tent up the week in our backyard so he was well versed in how to pitch it.He wanted to put the tent up by himself... and he was able too. He unpacked the tent clipping the poles into the foot print. He then placed the rain fly on- then climbed underneath and clipped the tent in place. He had the whole thing up in under five minutes. The inside of the tent was dry and spacious, and we were able to shed our wet gear and leave it out in the vestibule created by the rain fly.We were camping in northern FL, and the weather was wet, and windy with temperatures in the upper 40's. So I cant comment on true cold weather camping. We are planning a trip right now for some spring camping near Bend Oregon, and I dont think it will be an issue.Great product and would highly recommend. March 7, 2013
