Perfect belt I know this will never break! Great utility even to lash something onto the pack. February 9, 2014
The Best Simple, strong, light, durable, doesn't impede flexibility, my first one lasted 3 years and would still be good if not for my constant falling off my skateboard onto my hips, I'll keep buying these as long as they are available February 3, 2014
Quick release I ordered this belt for its uniqueness. I'm a huge fan. Great for casual wear or day-hiking. October 28, 2013
Best belt ever! I love this belt. Adjustable to fit with different thickness pants and stays put once adjusted. Couldn't ask for a better belt! September 10, 2013
Mountain Hardware belt My only gripe is that sometimes the belt slips a little and is a little narrow. Maybe consider offering in 2 widths June 10, 2013
Alloy Nut Belt Love it, but it is a little too long... But it's a cool belt for sure! May 2, 2013
Simple, functional, & looks good! There's not much to this belt, which in my opinion is a good thing. The MH nut shaped buckle is cool looking and works well. I really like the that way it un-hooks from the stitched webbing loop so you don't have to mess with the length adjustment. April 30, 2013
Good Belt I've worn it around with jeans and also with nomex hiking pants and haven't had any problems. I like the quick open/close, easy-access. I have a 33" waist and there was just the right among of excess (6-9 inches). It also works well as a dog leash. March 10, 2013
Backpackers dream belt......... I do a lot of backpacking and finding the perfect belt is a challenge. Look no more!!! You hardly even notice you have it on. Fits nice under my hip belt, no matter the pack. The material is nice and thin but rugged. The only downfall is it does loosen up sometimes. I've noticed if you snug it up it stays tight. I ordered grill color and it's a nice gray color. February 25, 2013
nice belt I purchased the Alloy Nut Belt in color grill.I tape measured my circumference because I was not sure and customer service helped with getting the right size. The sizes are pretty small cut. So if you are not sure you might want to call and ask. The metal buckle is MHW Logo shaped and has a small MHW logo printed on the side where the loop hooks into. The materials used for the belt are nice quality. The loop (which hooks into the open end of the buckle) is sawn twice a little bit bulky to fit thru the belt loops of a jean. The loop side also has the MHW Logo embroidered and its really nice looking. I rated the function only 4 out of 5, because sometimes the belt loosens a little bit ( from the buckle side) and needs to be tightened up. Otherwise a great product. I would buy it again. Love it. #2 This is the second belt of this type that I've purchased. The first one was lost during a week long camp-out in the Black Rock Desert. This belt is much more comfortable than most belts I've worn. The slide on/off functionality of the buckle is wonderful. I've seen reviews saying that the belt continually loosens. I've only noticed this to a minor degree. I may need to re-tighten the belt once per day (if that). I've also read that the buckle can be used to open a beer bottle. I've tried it and had success, but it's definitely not the easiest option. December 17, 2012
Super Handy When the belt is on, it's a joy. While wearing it, you don't even know it's there. Unbuckling it is quick and easy. Although, taking it out of regular belt loops, it tends to get caught up. October 16, 2012
Falls Short On Expectations! The belt is beautifully styled - very cool and unique, however, the embroidered end slips off the part of the buckle is slips onto throughout the day....a belt under no circumstances should be able to slip off from its buckle. Poorly designed. October 1, 2012
Great Belt This is a great belt. Easy to use and looks good. It could hold its position a little better but that is just a matter of tweaking it. September 16, 2012
Want a cool, functional belt? This belt is a very nice, functional, cool looking way to keep your pants from falling down. I havent' experienced the embarresment of my pants falling in weeks since implementing this device. Did I mention it looks cool? Get it if you need a belt, you won't be disappointed. September 12, 2012
great belt In my job I put this belt to the test every day. Hiking in the wildland fire arena in all kinds of conditions from extreme heat, rain, and cold in the winter snowboarding. This belt can take the pressure. It never loosens up or frays. I hope I can outlast it. thanks. 00zabo July 7, 2012
Best Belt Ever This is best belt I've ever owned. I love how easy it is to get on and the fact that I'm never constricted to specific belt holes or sizes. June 23, 2012
NOT AS GOOD AS IT SHOULD BE I was expecting a sturdier belt, the strap use was lighter and flimsier than I thought. The buckle does not lock the belt in place, it tends to slide loose. June 11, 2012
Good for everyone I bought this for my 13 year old son and my husband was envious, so I got him one too. It works for all ages. May 17, 2012
the Best I really like web belts and this is the best ever. You never need to adjust it, very comfortable and looks great! April 9, 2012
Beautifully simple I purchased this belt, and have really enjoyed using it. As mentioned, the webbing is not exceptionally thick, so it won't fill big belt loops, but it also won't end up too big for many belt loops, which is definitely good. So far the locking mechanism has worked great for me, the yellow holder straps locks the tightening slots conveniently (even if that may have not been the actual intended use). I expect this belt to last me many years. I also enjoy wearing it, because it is very comfortable, the webbing is soft as opposed to a stiff leather belt! April 6, 2012
Great Belt For the Outdoors This is simply the best "canvas" type belt I have ever owned. It offers great support -- even in wet conditions and doesn't stretch out after getting wet. I've owned mine for a couple of years and it has yet to show any signs of starting to wear out. February 29, 2012
Great buckle, very easy to use. I really like the easy coupling/uncoupling for a webbing belt (that usually require threading through the buckles). The buckle has a great feel and functions very well. The only improvement would be to put a webbing lock on the adjuster side of the buckle to keep it from loosening. February 20, 2012
Cool Belt Pretty umc a piece of nylon webbing with a cool buckle but with my 32 inch waist I have a lot of left over length at the end--looks cool though like most MH stuff January 3, 2012
Outdoor belt This is the second belt that I have order and I love both of them November 22, 2011
Almost a great belt First of all, this product does what it says it will do - hold up your pants. The color is great and the buckle works well. Maybe it's a matter of expectations, but I really thought that the belt was thicker and more sturdy. It's really just some 1" thick webbing and a nice buckle. If MH makes improvements to this belt, I would suggest making it like the military belts - 1.75" and a tad bit more sturdy. With those changes, this belt would be fantastic. October 24, 2011
Lightweight and adjustable Nice streamline profile and weight. Easy to use. Does the job! April 19, 2011
Awesomeness The style is very unique, I've received numerous compliments. My favorite part about the construction of this belt is how easily you can remove it and put it back on when needed. If cinched down and you pull the slack out, while securing it with the orange retainer, the belt does not move or come undone. I own two of these belts and recommend them to everyone. March 21, 2011
Belt An OK belt, seems to loosen too easy. The hook, fixation is a good idea, but improvement needed. Possibly a wider/stiffer webing material would help. February 24, 2011
Just a belt? I got this belt as an alternative to a wide riggers belt (which don't always fit normal pants). I liked the idea of a belt like webbing that could be used for numerous things in an emergency. Kudos to the reviewer that found the bottle opener! I missed that one... February 17, 2011
Not Very Good I bought this belt to use my Mountain Hardwear Piero Pants and its really doesn't work with them at all. I have used them with jeans and it works a little better, however, it is super thin and bunches up a stress points. It did work well as a bottle opener.. February 15, 2011
INCREDIBLE BELT!!!! Can't get enough MH!!! I bought this to replace a bulky/uncomfortable/inflexible 16-year-old rigger belt that fit my Piero pants (and nothing else). The Alloy Nut Belt is light-weight and thin, very strong, incredibly comfortable, and fits ALL of my outdoor (and indoor) gear. It is made of 30mm- (1.2") thick ratchet-strap-like nylon that is very smooth, supple, and flexible. I love the way it cinches down; slide it on, slip on the loop, and pull the opposite tab and it DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL. I hardly know it is there and it looks extremely cool. I am a 34" waist, so I have a LOT (16"?)of "leftover" material, but no big deal. The buckle appears to be an aluminum alloy and arrived with some scratches, discoloration, and tool marks, but for the price, I'm not worried, and I'm probably going to beat it up even more than that. Great looks and performance--true "bang for the buck!!" January 6, 2011
What this belt is really good for I've read a number of reviews of this product, and not once have I seen mentioned the true function of this belt, nor did I see it mentioned on any of the product labels or tags. Surely I'm not the only one that recognizes that this belt, when unfastened, functions as a bottle opener ! Un-do your belt, open a beer, and your pants fall down. It's kind of a natural progression, if you think of it ! December 18, 2010
Not wide enough I'd purchased this to repace the rigger's belt I wear with my ODUs (Coast Guard utility uniform) and I really like the mechanism (once set easy to quickly take on and off). But the width of the belt is less than that of a standard issue rigger's belt. Something to consider if you are wanting to have these pass as an acceptable uniform item. December 13, 2010
Nice belt This is a pretty cool belt, it cinches in a differnt way than most other belts. This makes it a bit difficult to clamp down, but it is possible. Unique design. November 25, 2010
