Rated 5 out of 5 by super warm, big mitt This mitt is hands-down warm! I ended up exchanging it for the Nilas mitt because it was too warm. This mitt would excel in the 8000 meter world or on winter Arctic expeditions however for the mountaineering I do in Alaska it was too warm for my needs. The mitt is so big that you are somewhat limited in hand dexterity and function - but at least your hands stay warm. The Nilas and the Absolute Zero seemed to be very similar in the amount of fill in the hand area however the Absolute Zero had a longer gauntlet with more fill. That seemed to be the main difference. The Absolute Zero also has a leash which is nice. January 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stay warm wherever adventure takes you Amazing. Big soft down pillows for your hands. I wish you could make a pair for my toes. Love them! Just an FYI, I thought I was ordering women's so went with a large but they were unisex, so a but big. I was on the women's section, so they should clarify that when ordering. Thanks, great mittens January 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by wow! just got these so until the weather gets cold I won't know just how they work but I'm sure they'll be just like the jacket. my only negative thing is the sizing to me is a bit off. I ordered a Large and it's a bit bigger than I expected, maybe that's how they should fit but I thought they would be a bit tighter. oh, and they are huge, I wasn't expecting them to be this big. that's not a negative. Rated 5 out of 5 by super warm and toasty bought these mits for winter photography and camping. I usually don't wear these until the temps drop to -20 (which happens a lot in Minnesota). your hands will not get cold wearing these things. fully waterproof, wind proof, and bomb proof. if the liners get wet or sweaty, simply take them out and air dry them. i usually wear the MH butter gloves underneath as my liner gloves. Rated 5 out of 5 by Why did I get just the gloves? Never before have I not only had warm hands with no liners, but the inside of these gloves feel like heaven. Enough compression to use hiking pole slings or grab a bag shoulder strap. The gauntlet cuffs are long enough to "seal" even if your teeth can't pull them on as you like. Room on the insides to pull your thumb in with your fingers and make a fist or count your remaining digits. No real dead air, just enough room in the worlds best fuzzy lining. As a consumer, remove the care tags before use. Waiting patiently for the fuzzy lined camp pant, fuzzy lined flannel shirt and the award winning fuzzy lined down bag. If MH had a fuzzy lined tent, so would I. March 18, 2013
