Women's Yuma™ Pant 4.7 5 66 66
Only one pocket... The photo and description show a pocket on each leg. Not so on the pair I received. Only pocket on the right leg. March 23, 2013
So-so pants I used these pants for field work for a couple summers, and for the most part they held up. The only part that unraveled quickly was the soft lining around the waistband. The lower stitching came undone so it would sometimes stick out the back of my pants and look like underwear. Or it would bunch up underneath and because the pants are thin it looked weird. I sewed it back into place and then it t was okay. They are nice and lightweight, but I hate, hate, HATE the pockets. The only pockets are on your thighs and they are too narrow and too far down the leg. If only the pockets were just an inch wider they would be so much better. Everything seemed to be just a bit too wide. These pants also made me realize that I like standard hip pockets. February 28, 2013
Love the feel of these pants. I was looking to order the Yuma convertible pant but I couldn't find them because they are out of season apparently. I found these regular Yuma pants. I ordered a size up from the convertible since I had put on a few lbs. My only frustration is the fit is the same in the waist as the size 2 and they were a size 4 short.I love the feel of these pants, the fabric is so soft and everything else about them is great. You may need to go up a size . Great travel / hiking pants! I bought these as 1 of 2 pairs of travel pants I brought on a 2 wk trip to Japan, and did laundry in my hotel rooms. These pants were pretty quick to dry, usually dried by morning, thought sometimes still a little damp at the ankles. Fit great, stretchy, comfortable, moved with me, could wear them around town as well as hiking. Nice looking pants - they worked great. Nice little touches so can tell they were thoughtfully designed, like cinches around the ankles to keep them from dragging or getting stuff in them while hiking if need be. Good color - not too light so don't show dirt as much. Drawstring waist band is nice, and the soft inner waist lining will be so nice under a backpack. I've had other pants that the drawstring digs into my hip or rub. l haven't backpacked with these pants yet, but I can tell they will be better than any other pants I've used. I'm 5'7, 126-130 lbs with short legs and long torso, and size 6 fit great. January 5, 2013
I love these pants. I wore these pants for a month straight while hiking in Spain. I love them. Great fit and very comfortable. They breathe well and don't retain odors.I was concerned about only having cargo pockets, but it turned out to be a great design. The pants fit great under a backpack, and the cargo pockets allow easy access. They are water resistant and dry quickly if you need to give them a wash while on the road. They fit true to size. I bought them in a short inseam, and at 5'6", the length was perfect.I would buy another pair of these, and I highly recommend them. January 1, 2013
Yuma Pants I have bought these before. Love the fit and the quality. I appreciate the longer size as well. Several hiking buddies have bought them as well per my recommendation.Only disappointment is lack of colors available in my size. I would have bought more if I had more color options. Finally, a good fit in an "active" pant As a short woman with a well-curved backside, activewear pants that fit are really hard to find, especially with the 'low rise' style so prevalent. These pants cover completely (no plumber's butt) and the drawstring prevents gaping waistband syndrome. The lack of pockets at the waist helps to keep the look clean, although I sometimes miss having them. The thigh pockets make up for that, and look better.I wear mine as everyday pants, plus hiking, walking the dog, horseback riding, and dancing. These are comfortable all day, let me move freely, and look good enough that I wear them dancing. November 25, 2012
This product has durability! I wore these pants for 24 days on a trip to Italy and Paris. I washed them and dried them in the sink - they were a durable dream!!!!! The fit never changed, and the material looked good the entire time. November 14, 2012
Most comfortable pants I own There are definitely are the most comfortable pants I own. Even on long flights is coach seats, the stretch in the fabric eases and back seams make this a fabulous travel pant in addition to hiking and climbing. September 30, 2012
A hiking pant for full-figures Love my Yuma pants. I have two pair of the convertible version and one of the regular. I have large hips and a defined waist, so finding pants that fit is a real challenge. The Yuma has a generous cut through the thighs and hips, not so generous in the waist and the drawstring at the waist takes up any excess slack.I've marked the sizing as "a bit large" only because many other brands/styles don't fit me at all in the same size.I've worn them hiking, dancing, and just out and about in dry weather and damp, and am more likely to grab them than my pair of comfy jeans. September 1, 2012
Love my Yuma's! Pants are comfortable and have no awkward seams or lumps. I've used them a number of times on hikes around Maryland and Virginia (Shenandoah), both with and without an internal frame backpack on. Lack of side pockets was not an issue, especially with a pack on.The drawstrings at the bottom of the legs are nice if you want to close off the pants legs a little more or if you want to turn them into pseudo-capris around a campsite. The only negative I have is that when I was doing a butt-slide across some of the granite on Old Rag in Virginia, it caused the material to snag a little and "fuzz up". There was no actual ripping so there was not really a functionally negative side effect and personally I'd rather have the softer material that Mountain Hardware uses than have a coarser material and not have it snag.In terms of size, the pants fit well. I range between 107 and 110 and am 5'4". I have a slim build but I do have hips and usually go up a size for pants. The size 2 fits nicely though, and the draw string allows you to synch in the waist, if necessary. August 13, 2012
Nice outdoor pant Love these pants, but I'd classify them more as a great outdoor pant than a great casual pant. I'm 5'8" 145 lbs and purchased a size 10 which fit me well, and I've worn them to work, but given I work in the outdoor industry that makes sense. The bottom of the leg has a drawstring that is great if you're hiking but kinda kills the line of the pants. I'd love to see these with a slightly flared bottom to go over boots, now that would be cool and casual. August 11, 2012
Wonderfully comfortable pants These pants are tough and are terrific when traveling because they pack so well. I have a pair that I purchased about a year ago with the zip off legs - really, really miss that feature. I normally take a tall but the two pair I purchased in tall are actually too long!! Doesn't happen often. Overall impression - great quality, great pants! August 9, 2012
Yuma pants They are true to size. Both my friend and I think that they are as comfortable as pajamas, they allow for movement yet they aren't baggy. They are light-weight and "breathe."They are well made. I've washed them twice in cool water and they look as fresh as new.I have not yet warn them for "rough" wear, but due to the comfort, I'll be wearing them for upcoming long flights....and exclusively during my exploration of Scotland. They are my favorite pair(s) of pants!!! August 2, 2012
Comfortable I bought a pair in beige and after wearing them for a few times, I had to have them in black. The black is really charcoal but works great for a dressier look. Most comfortable pant I have ever worn. July 10, 2012
Awesome Pants These pants are my go to pants for just about everything i do outdoors. From casually hanging with friends, to my trad assents from the east and over to the west, the Yumas are so far on my top 5 list. They fit really well, are incredible light weight, breathable, and have that wonderful stretch that every active girl loves to feel. They follow every movement and in every direction with your body. I highly recommend them. July 5, 2012
These pants have it all These pants are perfect for the reality of hiking outdoors and flattering to boot. The fabric's stretch and durability are excellent. Pockets are well placed, secure, and ample enough to hold needed items. There are some small improvements to this version, such as stitching down the chamois waist lining, that are much appreciated over previous incarnations. I definitely prefer this version without the zip-off legs. June 16, 2012
Love these pants Great fit, very comfortable. I will buy more!! May 28, 2012
"yuma" pants I loved the pants bought 5 pairs, light, stretchy, they fit perfect, great to take on vacation, You can wear them out at night. They dry easy. My only complaint is that they didn't have enough colors in my size in stock.I had to buy 2 black, 2 shark, one sand. I hope you get more in I need a couple more.C May 26, 2012
These Pants are my FAVORITE! So comfy. Roomy in all the right places. I wear them to work and to play. Love that the rain just rolls right off of them, which in Washington is a must. I want a pair in every color. I am greedy that way. May 10, 2012
Yuma Pants I purchased these pants online because I needed petite size. A "short" pair came and although they fit a little loose in the waist the length of the pant legs are too long. I wore them on a recent short trip and the pants are comfortable but the legs are going to have to be hemmed. Not an easy job with an elastic and toggle at hem. Even with this situation I love the pants and they are going to become one of my favorite pants! May 9, 2012
I love these pants! I bought these pants a year ago and they are still holding up! I wear them for hiking, backpacking trips, training for search and rescue and traveling. They fit wonderfully, looks great on and best of all, so comfortable I can wear them all day. I was delighted to see that they were still on line - looking to buy some more. May 8, 2012
Pants run small Love the TALL length, finally somebody recognizes there are tall women who like these kind of clothes! I found that they run a size small. The length is varied by color, titanium were too short. April 1, 2012
Love these pants! After reading all the reviews I decided to buy the Yuma Pant. Best decision ever! They are so comfortable and nice enough to wear to work.I love the stretchy fabric--especially around the knees and rear. I'm also a backpacking guide in Colorado and am excited to test them out this summer on the trail--I love the spf 50 and the water repellant fabric. These will probably be my new favorite pair of pants. March 24, 2012
Awesome pants I absolutely love these pants-- once you get past the "swishing" sound they make when you walk. I have curvy hips (size 10), but a small waist and the drawstring on these pants make them fit perfectly. There's also a neat little loop above the snap to keep the drawstring bow in place (i.e. if you need to really cinch the drawstring, the bow doesn't ride up onto your belly). The material is stretchy and has just enough give to let them fit your body without being tight or uncomfortable in the hips and butt. The 10R fits me to a T (I am 5'6" and typically wear a 10 in pants) and the crotch inseam is perfect...not too short, but not too baggy. Also, each leg has a drawstring at the ankle that is housed within its own tiny pocket on the inside of the pant leg. You can cinch them up and the extra elastic stays in the little pocket so you don't get a long piece of elastic hanging off the side of your foot (it's a genius design, really). The waist band is very soft on the inside-- they feel like butter when you're wearing them. I bought them in black for versatility, but am looking forward to buying another pair in a different color. These are now my go-to pants for any activity, but I wish MH had a zip-off version available! March 11, 2012
Much bigger than other MHW pants I ordered this and another pair of MHW pants at the same time and these are dramatically larger. They are so large that I do not even feel comfortable wearing them out. They are also quite long. I would definitely suggest going down a size. If doing so concerns you consider that the material is very stretchy! I am a 10/12 and have always fit size 12 in this brand. March 8, 2012
My favorite pants, want a capri convertible version I'm a big MH fan. That said, the Yuma is hands down my favorite MH pants. The fabric is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable against your skin. I love that I can wear them when I teach (dress it up with a nice top) and then throw on my rock climbing shoes in the canyon and climb with no worries. The stretch is great, I get great reach when climbing, hiking, backpacking, etc. Never feels like its in a bind at any angle. The waist chamois is rockin. It is soft and feels great under a harness or waist belt of a backpack. I'm 5'9' and these pants are the perfect length. I also love the drawcord to cinch them up if a shorter length is needed (worked well for spontaneous fly fishing).Yuma is my favorite travel pant as well. These are what I always wear on the plane. They are easy to wash in a small sink and line dry super fast (for those who love to travel light).I now own 3 different pairs of this pant. I'm hoping that MH will make a capri/pant convertible Yuma (the best of both worlds for those who travel light). That said, they just brought out the Yuma capri and shorts, so I'll count myself lucky. Love these pants!Currently planning a trip to Jordan & Israel for 3 weeks - taking two pairs of Yuma pants, a La Strada skirt, and the Yuma capris (if I'm able to buy them soon). These pieces are so versatile, they do it all! February 15, 2012
Best pants ever! These are just the best pants ever. The fit is perfect, they stretch with me, side pockets for essentialls, water resistant, good looking. I have four pairs and love them all. I use them for a variety of activities. Right now they are perfect for walking (and training) my puppy. Dog training treats in one pocket, cell phone, ID and keys in the other! February 13, 2012
Love the Yumas I love the Yuma pants. I owned one of these and one of the zip off style. I ordered another pair this year. I like the fit and I'm glad that a long option is available. The regular length is too short for me. I like the pockets and the fabric looks good without ironing. The fabric is lightweight and it repels water nicely and dries quickly. January 3, 2012
love these I bought more than 2 pairs. the fabric wears incredibly well. Looks good even after days backpacking. coffee spills dont sink in. They are lighter weight so they are my summer/fall hiking and travel pants. Try the winter wanderer for similar fit, thicker, warmer hiking. January 3, 2012
Yuma Pant I love the comfort and flexibility of these pants, making them my favorite workout choice. As a group fitness instructor, I utilize the side pocket for my headset battery pack. The moisture wicking is a wonderful feature. I have these same pants in the conversion style. Please keep me informed of sale of the Yuma pant, as I am interested on purchasing several more. December 3, 2011
Love these pants!! You can't imagine how hard it is to find pants that are long enough and that are super comfortable!! Well done. I will be ordering more in different colors. The comfort waist band is awesome. Nothing bad to say about these pants. November 20, 2011
Love them! I will wear this pant all year. Light weight, nice fit. November 11, 2011
Absolutely amazing I could go on and on about these pants, I love them. They are so light weight it feels like you have nothing on! I'm constantly around the water for work and the water resistant coating really does an amazing job. They fit perfectly and are still comfortable when worn with a base layer. It's so nice to have a pant that's not only flattering but also functional. October 20, 2011
Resists water Wow! These pants are the best pants for any hike! I was in Portland and Denver this past month hiking and there was a lot of rain and the pants resisted the rain and I stayed dry. They are super light and extremely comfortable. They have drawstrings on the waist and the bottom by the ankles. They have ample pockets and even one with a zipper. They also fit very well and are true to size. October 14, 2011
Great Pants I purchased the zip off leg (to capri length) version of these pants two years ago and loved them so much that I wanted another pair. I bought the Yuma pants without the zip off legs. They run similar in size but not exactly the same. The pant leg is about an inch longer (I didn't measure exactly) and they seem just a tad roomier. I still love them. Very comfy and move with you. I wear them everywhere. October 12, 2011
Four-Way Stretch Unbelievably Comfortable While I could always use more pockets (for large electronics--GPS etc) these pants fit hiking needs admirably. The difference between this fabric, and other lesser stretch fabrics is unbelievable. I am considering using them for travel, too, since you could perform any sort of maneuver, and they would give. The down side is the nylon sound they make...but I'll take it for the comfort. I have the "talls" and they are not the "tallest" but OK. I'm not certain why there is an external drawstring. The existing pockets are a fair size. The cut through the waist/mid-section etc. is trim. I really like this fabric and look forward to more offerings in it. October 11, 2011
Perfectly Flexible I love the Yuma Pant! It has an excellent fit, and the stretch is fantastic-- you can even do the splits in them! The first time I wore them, I did about a class 4 rock scramble, and they didn't bunch or shift around like most other brands; they actually moved with me. Thumbs up! I purchased a 2 Long in the Yuma pant (I have about a 26" waist and 36" hips and a 33" inseam) and they fit like a glove. The rise was really excellent, too, as I am short-waisted and found the rise to be neither too short (eek!) or too long for my torso. These are my new favorites, and are even good-looking enough to adorn as casual wear around the city. Awesome! August 30, 2011
Better than I expected Read all the reviews of every pant offered and decided I'd try these. I'm glad I did. I'm petite- 5'2" (on a tall day) and around 110 lbs. I ordered the 2S and was surprised that these fit as well as they did. They aren't tight fitting but they do hug all my curves with a lot of stretch for any movement I may decide to do. Haven't tested them on the trail yet, but looking forward to spending 2 months with them in Kenya. The waistband is SOFT like butter and I love the drawcords at the ankles. The convenience of convertible pants without the weird look. Extra pockets would be nice but I like the ones they come with (although if you put anything heavy in like an iphone and the pants start to fall down). August 24, 2011
Perfect Pant I was looking for a pair of lightweight, comfortable, outdoorsy pants, and these fit the bill perfectly. I would definitely recommend these pants if you're looking for something to go hiking in, walking, or just lounging. August 15, 2011
Awesome pants! I got a pair of these pants 3 months ago and now i ordered 2 more (actually one Yuma and one Cortina falls since there was none available in my size in in khaki). I was skeptical at first since i usually prefer natural fibers, but theese pants have exceeded my expectations. I never get hot in it (even when its 85 degrees outside), they have premium moisture vicking fabric. Very light, flexible and versatile. If you spill something on it, water just goes off the pants. I have been wearing them so much that my husband got sick of them :) Great for travelling too. July 11, 2011
Love the Yuma Pant I now have three pairs of Mountain Hardwear hiking pants. First was the Yuma convertible which I purchased on sale. Liked it so much that I sought out the full pant and was more than willing to pay full price. The drawstring is a huge plus for perfect fitting. Nice zippered pockets. June 19, 2011
Women's Yuma Pant Met My Expectations I already had a pair of these pants in the green color, and found that they are so comfy that I didn't want to wash them and put them out of commission, so, the obvious thing to do was buy another pair. I purchased the "grill" color, which is kind of a dark gray with a hint of blue-green to it.Looks good with most pinks, orange, greens, and brown or black. Not blue. The other thing I love about these pants is that they are wind-proof. I wear them golfing, and the pockets are great for putting multiple balls and tees, etc. With a pair of silk long underwear, they kept me warm in the upper 40's. The inside seems warm to the touch, which was surprising for a light-weight fabric. Water also seems to wick off. All in all- a great active wear pant that is nice enough for me to wear to the office if I don't draw-string the bottom hem. I'm 5'3" and the "short" inseam is plenty long. June 13, 2011
Ultra comfortable pant I have been hearing about how great these pants are for three years and finally did something positive and bought a pair. They are everything everyone has said about these pants. Soft but not too thin, the material has some body to it so I am not scared I am going to rip the pant, they have the movement of a warm up pant, and pockets for everything I would need on a short hike. More than pleased with the purchase!! Mountain hardwear makes amazing pants and I look forward to buying another pair in another color. June 7, 2011
Yuma pant for travel I bought these because I searched high and low for travel pants that would come in a tall. They do run "slightly big". I am 5'10" with a 33.5" inseam so regular sizes are always a tad short. These fit perfetly in the length (with a bit to spare) and I am 179 pounds (a small size 14 usually) but other reviews said they run big, so I bought the size 12 - and they are fabulous! They are stretchy and comfy! They are lightweight, but made extremely well so I am confident they will stand up to lots of hiking and abuse. June 2, 2011
Amazing These are the FIRST pants in years and years of searching that I absolutely LOVE. They fit beautifully, stretch and hold their shape, are great for all sports but look sleek enough to wear to town. Great pockets that are flat, but zippered and hold so much. I now own 5 pairs and want more. Cannot recommend these highly enough June 2, 2011
Best Pant!!! I purchased the Yuma after reading fantastic views on almost every website. The fit is perfect and very comfortable. I'm 5'9, and wear a 10, I ordered the regular size and the leg bottom hits right below the ankle, and doesn't drag at all. I've only worn this once on a day hike, and the comfort was superb, no chaffing, and great wicking. I will say though, that it does make a "swishy" sound, but that is just from the material, and is not something I would mark it down for, to me the UV protection, light weight, and waterproof quality of the material surely out surpass any sound the pants make while walking. One of my favorite features is the cinch hidden inside the bottom of the pant leg, which makes it easy to convert to capris or even shorts. I'm headed to Ghana with the Peace Corps and this is the only pair of pants I'm bringingwith me! May 16, 2011
Perfect for short/girls looking for the right pant I have searched high and low for a petite-sized pant that actually fits my body type. I am a little curvy and very short and like to do outdoor adventures. These pants ROCK. LOVE THEM. I bought them in two colors and plan on checking out some other Mountain Hardwear pants to see if they fit just as well. Thank you so much, Mountain Hardwear! May 14, 2011
Nice pant, too big Love the stretch and materials used, but pant runs quite large. Pant legs are baggy (and I'm not petit). Wish they had pockets. May 4, 2011
Love these Pants! I am thrilled that these Pants are long enough and extremely comfortable. Great fit too! April 5, 2011
