Poor materials and construction I've worn this jacket approximately 20 times and its poor quality is showing. For one, my car keys have torn the front hand pocket seam. I would hope that such an expensive fleece jacket would be engineered to withstand a set of car keys. Also, the grey material at the wrists has pilled very badly. The jacket looks like I've worn it for years instead of a couple of months. I'm very disappointed with it and I wouldn't purchase it again or recommend it. January 26, 2013
Absolutely perfect! I got this jacket as a Christmas gift for my wife and she absolutely loves it! Its soft inside and out including the pockets. One of the best features is the tapered sleeve that has the elastic part at the end so your sleeves dont drag. Its super warm and looks great. Cant ask for much more than that! January 4, 2013

Great jacket! Highly Recommended I am only not giving this jacket all 5 stars because I am normally a large in jackets and could have used a medium in this one, even with a sweatshirt or something bulky under it. It love the gray color I got and had a tough time deciding which one to get bc all of the colors are so great. I would say that if you are a true medium in shirts to order that size, even if you sometimes order larges for jackets. This is a bit larger running. My Favorite Fleece I have three of these now. I love them. I do not like to wear hoods very often so the lack of a hood doesn't bother me in the slightest. I love the style of the jacket. The waist is perfect, doesn't ride up and isn't too baggy when you wear the right size. My upper arms fit tightly in some coats and this style sleeve provides extra room where needed without being too long. This jacket is warm, comfortable to no end.The only downside is I'm scared to wash them very often as one of them melted a wee bit in the dryer on the interior of the jacket. Plus I'm always apprehensive when washing my fleece as I don't want to lose the smooth plushness of them. November 26, 2012

Wore Less Than 1 Season I wore my Monkey Woman fleece for less than one season. I was working outside every day as an Outdoor Instructor. The fleece kept me warm at first, but after a few months, it pilled and started wearing thin. Also, my drive to work was a bit long, and places on my chest and abdomen got rubbed down flat by my seatbelt. It was not fluffy soft after one wash. I air dried it, but that didn't make a difference. It just got matted down. For the price they ask, the fleece should be of better quality. I wish I had returned it, but after 30 days, they wouldn't take it back.I have a long torso, so I got a Medium to make sure it was long enough, but it looked bulky on me in the waist. July 16, 2012

To Warm This is my favorite jacket that I own. I use it alot. The only thing is that even when mountain climbing and hiking, I find it a little bit too warm. I start sweating in it a few minuites after I put it on. Personaly, I get cold easily, but this is just too warm. April 30, 2012
Always Want to Wear It I love it when the weather is freezing and as a jacket when it's just cool. It's so warm and fuzzy, but still breathes. Every cool day when I walk to the closet I just want to snuggle up in my Monkey Woman, but sadly I only have one -it's starting to seem as if all my most comfortable clothes are Mountain Hardwear. I also recommend any 'butter' shirts by Mountain Hardwear to complement this jacket as a mid- or base-layer or even just to wear solo on those in-between days while hiking. Two versatile pieces. Great jacket overall! I love the style of this jacket. The colors (white/grey) look very sharp together. The fabric of this jacket provides excellent warmth in cold situations (perfect for hiking/backcountry trips). The fit is pretty good....My only complaint would be that I wish it was a little longer in the torso. I feel like it rides up a bit. Other than that, it's a great jacket! February 10, 2012
Super Warm and Cozy This is a curl-up-by-the-crackling-fire type of jacket. Super toasty and cozy - everybody seems to want to rub it. I've only done moderate hikes during relatively balmy (40 degree) days, and it works perfectly under those conditions. It's not wind resistant, so I think I'd need a shell over it for anything more wintry. Great insulating layer, and looks nice walking around town too. January 4, 2012

Fail-Safe Gift! I bought two of these for my girlfriend and my mother for christmas 2011. I got them in the orchid. The look on each of their faces was enough when they saw the plush cuddliness of the jacket. Each of them put the jacket on, and it pretty much hasn't come off since. I own one of these myself too. It is a great and rugged garment, even though it appears like a snuggle blanket. The one downside is that it is totally permeable to wind, but it is a great layer under a shell. Best Christmas Present I absolutley love this jacket! I have never purchased anything that was the Mountain Hard-Wear brand before and this was definately a success. For the most part, I use this jacket on chilly days in town or just around the house whenever I get a little bit cold. The fuzziness of it makes it perfect to feel on your skin and the jacket can be a perfect outer layer over top of a long sleeve shirt. The only complaint I have is that it is not very wind-proof; I have worn it to the movies several times and while walking to my car, the wind just went right through. It is not bad, but some improvement of tighter stitching on the sleeves and back may help this issue. Once again, this jacket was a purchase that just made my day; I love it! January 1, 2012

Amazing Buy I bought this jacket 2 years ago and it has by far been my favorite go-to jacket. Even after 2 years of everyday, skiing, and hiking use this jacket looks like the day I bought it. It is really warm, perfect for wearing alone or under a shell on colder/windy days. Not to mention the fur feels fantastic. All in all I can't say enough good about this jacket, I highly suggest it! The warmest jacket I have owned! I tried on one of these jackets a year ago and have wanted one ever since. I received one for Christmas this year and it is amazing! I live in north Texas where is very windy and cold during the winter, and wear it walking around my college campus.If you go hiking or camping in cold weather take this jacket and a wind jacket and you won't need much else. Warmest Fleece Ever This jacket is incredibly warm. I expected it to be a much bulkier fleece, but I love how light it is and yet so warm. I especially like the stretch on the sides and the sleeves making it really easy to move around in. I did notice that some of the seaming particularly on the zipper and the underarms is a little off and some of the fuzz sheds in these places.
