I love these shorts. These shorts are very well made and sturdy. I like all the pockets, but especially the side pockets -- one that can easily hold a smartphone, and the other with a zipper to hold valuables. The waist band is soft and comfortable, and the 9" length is not too long. I also got the 7" length -- I like them both. I owned a similar Mountain Hardwear short years ago in a size 10; I'm the same size but the short that fits is now an 8. May 15, 2013
