Much larger than anticipated I purchased this online to replace an aging Microchill Zip T that I've had for about five years, and has stood up well to innumerable days of backpacking, skiing, climbing, etc. Both are high quality products that fit the niche of a light/medium warm layer that weighs almost nothing and breaths/dries well. The Microchill Zip T that I have is a men's medium, and it fits well, though it is a hair on the loose side. I figured the "tech" version would fit about the same, but would be more snug, because it is the "more athletic" version with stretch panels. It is very noticeably larger, which is a pretty unpleasant surprise for me. I am 5' 10" and 155 lb. If I am not a medium man, I do not know who is. I am sending it back. January 31, 2013
Crucial Piece This is my go to midlayer for walking around the city or skiing in bounds or side country. I really don't know what magic MH has woven into their materials, but it's definitely there. I can somehow wear this in a heated room while wearing a base layer and still be as comfortable as when I am at the top of a peak in freezing temperatures with this underneath a shell. The elastic panels are perfect for someone looking to utilize this as a mid-layer for aerobic activities, as it increases your range of motion. As far as sizing goes, I am 5'7" 158 pounds athletic build and a medium fits with a little extra room for a layer under neath.Hats off to MH for another great product. Great shirt Love the quality and fit. Very soft and warm on chilly days. Only issues I have is the shirt is too expensive for what you get and I don't like the stitch down the center of the shirt. Not sure why they did that. October 28, 2012
