Men's Dome Perignon™ 4.8 5 21 21
great wind-block hat! a great wind-block hat! husband with shaved head loves it. wife with tons of curly hair loves it. keeps ya warm & dry in very windy & cold conditions. we both got the large - i would have ordered medium, except for the tons of curls - the large was great - no "hat head" look after you take it off. KANSAS WIND CUTTER The wind truly does come whipping across the plains. The Dome Perignon provides just the right protection to allow for extended stays outside in the Kansas bone chilling wind. The cap is thin enough and close fitting to allow for the wearing of a hardhat on top of it without discomfort. The design prevents the little gaps that allow the wind to seek out skin and chill portions of the brain pan. I wish the logo came in a subdueed format so that the glaring sign would be less noticable. I understand pride in your product but if I tryly like it then I will advertise by word of mouth and you would not have to place a small billboard on my forehead. March 27, 2013
Great hat Very warm and well-made. I wear it when temps get into the 20s F and below and it keeps my noggin toasty! February 27, 2013
good not great Bought it from the website and will keep it because I am to lazy to return it. Because of the tight fit and the wind proofing layer I feel like I cannot hear well when I have it on. Also, you can't roll up the edges to uncover your ears like you can on a simple cap. I am sticking with my all wool fisherman style beanie. February 24, 2013
Really like this hat Actually I'm loving this hat. My head is larger than most and it fits great. The lower band material feels nice. I like the styling, although it's a little plain-jane. Picking a cool color helps. The logo is kinda big and sits in front. I feel like a groupy when I wear it with my MH jacket with matching logo. Also, it's hard to hear with the hat pulled over your ears because it insulates so well. Can the ear areas be perforated? I might try that. Anyway I've worn it skiing in 10-20 degree F weather, with goggles and ski jacket hoodie, and the noggin has been toasty. February 14, 2013
Best Hat Ever I DONT OWN TWO OF ANYTHING EXCEPT THIS HAT ! LOVE IT ! I WEAR IT SKIING AND HAS NEVER FAILED ME ONCE. FOR SOME REASON, I CANT TAKE IT OFF WHILE INSIDE, I WEAR IT AROUND THE HOUSE, KEEP THE HEAT DOWN TO 65 AND IM ALWAYS WARM. I EVEN WEAR TO BED- ITS JUST THAT COMFORTABLE ! ONLY THING IS I WISH THEY MADE IT IN BLACK AND RED TO MATCH MY SKI BOOTS- OR JUST RED, MAYBE THE FALL MODEL (HINT,HINT) ! I WOULD OWN 3 IF IT CAME IN RED ! AWESOME HAT !! I DONT USUALLY WEAR HATS, BUT WHEN I DO, I WEAR HARD WEAR GEAR ! February 12, 2013
Best Hat On The Market I spend hundreds of hours in Alaska's remote interior during all seasons, and this is my go to hat. In fact I own two, one L and one XL. I use the large for everything down to about -20 F, then I need to switch to the XL so it can fit over my balaclava. This hat is completely windproof, I have stood in sustained winds of 70 mph and it took it like a champ. Though it is not waterproof the windshear lining does a great job at keeping the head dry and overall the hat still keeps you warm, though the exterior fleece is wet. I have traveled for hours in rain at 35-40 F wearing this hat and my head never got cold. I absolutely recommend it. January 30, 2013
Best Cold Wind Proof Hat Available I replaced this hat recently, after losing my previous model, bought 12 years ago. The new one is excellent, good fit and construction. January 22, 2013
QC/QA Mgr The design and detail of cut is functional and looks very good. Not too dense and exceptionally warm. Materials do not stretch out of shape. The fact that it is sized is the feature that wins over "one size fits most". January 8, 2013
For the outdoors, not so much around town I've been using this hat for about a year now and am quite satisfied with its quality, construction and comfort. It blocks wind perfectly and is warm and comfortable. It's not the kind of hat I would wear around town, but in the outdoors it is the go-to cover for my "dome".If you'd like a hat that's warm, comfortable and windproof then I'd recommend this one.As a disclaimer, I am affiliated with Gore for product testing of Gore-tex products for the purpose of product review and recommendation. I do receive items from Gore for these purposes, though this item I purchased on my own. December 28, 2012
The One :-) Once bought it somewhere near the Canadian border, but managed to lose it in NYC.Luckly they are available here. These hats are warm but could be worn in any weather, and they feel good, and they work well with elements. In heavy rain one needs a hood on top of them. I was using mine with a shell's hood and a mask for skiing at Tremblant at -43F. Enjoy! December 16, 2012
Silly Name, Good Hat All puns aside this hat works well and does it's intended job better than any I've tried so far. The sizes run big so if you are normally a large get the medium. If you are a medium....tough luck. Now if they could scale down the logo and make it a little more discretely placed.... December 13, 2012
Windblock takes some getting used to It also cuts out the sound, so it takes a bit of getting used to. Very comfortable. November 27, 2012
AK tested! I brought this hat to a remote camp in AK for 2 straight years. It was surprisingly water resistant, but it's bread and butter was its warmth and ability to keep out the wind. I am here to tell you that a windproof had makes a world of difference!! Everybody else at camp would 2 or 3 regular fleece hats to try to keep warm, I would just wear my MH one. A must buy. Dome Perignon The size L fits perfectly, it covers my dome and ears rather well. September 9, 2012
Dome hat From the first time I tried it on, I knew it was very functional. April 30, 2012
Size and function Finally, a quality hat that fits my big head. It also covers my ears. Proper size means proper function. March 29, 2012
Dome it is! My husband could never find beanies that he liked, until we found the Dome. Bought one on the winter sale and wound up buying two in addition (he now has black, blue, grey).Super warm, wicks moisture fairly well given how thick it is. Great at blocking wind. Love that ears are covered. Wears this running in the cold winter mornings. My man is a big fan and so am I. Awesome product MH, good work! February 15, 2012
Exactly what he was looking for My husband LOVES his new hat! His head measures 24" and most hats fit too tightly or didn't cover his ears. How thrilled I was to see that this hat came in XL! All the features work well--lets moisture escape, keeps in body heat, wind protection for ears and also comes in 5 colors. We usually shop sales but in this case he was happy to pay full price to get just what he needed to make his long walks in wintry conditions enjoyable. January 30, 2012
