I used these for skiing and hiking and really loved the fit and the feel. The only issue I have is that they didn't hold up to my use. They started developing holes within 3 months of use. I have since warrantied them which was great but I'm waiting see how the second pair wears this time.
I do not recommend this product.

Ok Everyday or Active Baselayer

These ended up being a lot lighter weight that I anticipated, so when using them in really cold conditions I definitely want fleece pants over them. However, for generally cold days where you'd like something extra under your pants these are a very low-bulk option that will take the edge off. Under high levels of activity they perform well to keep your legs warm (which don't necessarily need as much as your core anyway to keep warm). I like the idea of wool/synthetic blend, but with something this light you don't really notice. Not to get too personal, but the fly on them is a less-than-ideal design, too. All in all, glad I have them, but they're not my favorite baselayer tight.

Great base layer

I purchased one of these reluctantly because I thought I wanted a thicker product which I found to be discontinued. This one turns out to be excellent for general use early Fall through late Spring in situations where weather and exertion levels vary widely through a given day. I even wear it under my wetsuit when kayaking and it stops the clammy moisturising that begins instantly with neoprene directly on the skin. I also wear it under the midlayer fleece when using a drysuit kayaking. It seems to actively pump moisture away from the skin. Now I want to buy more and my size is not listed. Frustrating! ! ! You barely find a good product and then it's gone!

Perfect first layer

I use these for layering at work on cold days and staying warm in the mountains on cold plays. They do not restrict movement at all as one might think they should with how warm one is.

Snake Roof
I just got back from a climbing trip in IL and wore these the entire 4 day trip. They are extremely comfortable and fit very well, and never hindered movement at all. They are also very warm for the weight. The length seemed a little bit long for me (I am 5'9'' and 145, and I got a S), but they were easy to just push up and it was also nice to just tuck them into my socks during the hikes, and at night around the campfire.

kept me warm

I have taken this out a few times so far and each time they have been grea to me and kept me warm. They fit just right and are comfortable. i wore them under the MH ridge line pants and some snow pants when it was about 5 with the wind chill and was sweating in them. The only thing I didn't like was there was no boot cut.
